- Send documents containing protected health information, nonpublic personal financial information, cardholder data, or privileged client material. See section 4 of our Terms of Service — this restriction is about the content of documents, not about what industry you are in.
- Send anything unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive, including agreements the signer has not genuinely been given a chance to read.
- Impersonate another person or organisation, or misrepresent who is asking for a signature.
- Send unsolicited bulk messages.
- Attempt to defeat, probe, or disable the platform's security controls, other than through a security disclosure to us in good faith.
- Use the Service to sign documents that the ESIGN Act excludes from electronic execution, including wills, codicils, testamentary trusts, and certain notices relating to utilities, credit, insurance, eviction, foreclosure, and family law.
Rate and volume
Use the Service within your plan's allowance and within our published rate limits. Automated volume that degrades service for others may be throttled.
Security disclosure
If you find a vulnerability, tell us at security@smpesign.com before telling anyone else. We will not pursue anyone who reports in good faith, stays within the bounds of their own account, and gives us reasonable time to fix it.
Enforcement
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach this policy. Where we can, we will tell you first.
